In March of 1982, Patricia Miller and Barbara Bradley Baekgaard were awaiting a flight in Atlanta when they noticed a definite lack of feminine-looking luggage. The longtime friends wasted no time in correcting this situation and started their own company. Within weeks, the demand for these unique handbags and luggage items had grown and so had Vera Bradley, which is now nationally and internationally recognized.

Striving to provide their customers a warm and inviting shopping environment, we opened the nation’s very first Vera Bradley Signature Gallery in our Fairfield Commons store. With bright yellow walls, a sumptuous red and yellow toile sofa, and crisp white finely detailed wooden cabinets filled with the endless colors of Vera Bradley, the Gallery became an oasis for Vera Bradley lovers. In light of the success of the Vera Bradley Signature Gallery, Occasionally Yours at The Greene was born and became the nation’s very first co-branded Vera Bradley Signature Store.
